Hello!
I'm a Master of Management in Analytics candidate at McGill University in Montreal, in the Desautels Faculty of Management. I was also a starting pitcher on the McGill Baseball Team for four years and have pitched semi-professionally in Quebec. Please check out my projects below.
I completed this project during my summer internship at Baseball Reference in 2019. The positional adjustments that we account for in our calculation of WAR were not as accurate as they could be. I completed research on the best way to calculate these positional adjustments as well as updating our values. In this project I mainly used MySQL and R.
The objective of this project was to present the mock client (ESPN) with a solution for an analytical tool to aid fantasy hockey managers draft and manage their teams. I was the team lead for this project, in which I managed four subgroups of classmates - business strategy, modeling, architecture, and UI/UX. The total team consisted of 25 students, and we won first place in the simulation against our peers.
As an avid golf fan, I set out to predict the 2020 Masters using my analytics and coding knowledge. I discovered (and confirmed) many exciting details about golf, data science, and human nature throughout the process.
For a final project in a Decision Analytics course, myself and four classmates put ourselves in the shoes of the Toronto Raptors in the offseason coming off of their NBA championship. We built an optimization model to help guide the team's free agency decision making for the upcoming season. In this project, my role was data gathering and model building.
